Peter Stephens (ca. 1690-1757), probably a German immigrant, appeared in Orange and Frederick Counties, Virginia in 1734. He probably immigrated to New York with Jost Hite, and moved to Virginia with him as well. Some descendants moved to Ohio, Indiana and elsewhere.
