Journal of the Australian Early Medieval Association
"The Christianisation of Europe" is the sixteenth volume of Journal of the Australian Early Medieval Association guest-edited by Jozef Dobosz (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland) and Darius von Guttner Sporzynski (University of Melbourne, Australia). The volume brings together the reedition of outcomes of research by Polish scholars on the broad theme of the Christianisation of Europe. The articles included in this volume present interpretations deeply rooted in the Polish historiographic tradition. Their editors hope that their publication in English will contribute to the growing body of knowledge on aspects of Christianisation processes experienced by European cultures and societies.

The journal welcomes papers on historical, literary, archaeological, cultural, and artistic themes, particularly interdisciplinary papers and those that make an innovative and significant contribution to the understanding of the early medieval world and stimulate further discussion. La Papauté et les croisades / The Papacy and the Crusades
This volume brings together a selection of the papers on the theme of the Papacy and the Crusades, delivered at the 7th Congress of the Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East. After the introduction by Michel Balard, the first papers examine aspects of crusader terminology. The next section deals with events and perceptions in the West, including papers on the crusades against the Albigensians and Frederick II, and on the situation in the Iberian peninsula. There follow studies on relations between crusaders and the local populations in the Byzantine world after 1204 and Frankish Greece, and in Cilician Armenia, while a final pair looks at papal interventions in Poland and Scandinavia.

Childhood in Medieval Poland (1050-1300)
This volume analyses the constructions and realities of childhood in Poland, c. 1050-1300 CE, by examining a range of texts and considering the ways in which children fit within textual frameworks and genres. These texts include two major chronicles, monastic sources, and hagiography related to five major saints. The textual sources are put into conversation with findings from archaeology. The author argues that certain common themes, such as assumed care for children, the need for education, and the puer senex trope do feature through most texts of any genre, and the book also explores how Poland was similar to and different from the situation in western Europe.
