Marks Rinaldo (1828-1892), son of Joel Rinaldo (the original surname was probably Solomon), immigrated in 1847 from Poland to New York City, and married twice. Five brothers and one sister immigrated later; the eldest remained in Poland. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Illinois, Iowa, California and elsewhere.
