COASTAL SEDIMENT DYNAMICS AND TRACING METAL POLLUTION
The properties of sediment particles, transportation and their deposition in the sedimentary environments can be deciphered by the granumlometric studies, which also provide critical information regarding sedimentary provenance and depositional conditions. Many factors like currents and wave activities, offshore and onshore movements, transgression and regression of the sea levels, periodic storms, confluence of streams, rivulets and rivers into the oceans can influence the grain size in the depositional environments. Variations in the size of the grains reflect various earth surface processes viz., developmental processes of landforms. So, many researchers from all over the world carried out panoptic research and emphasized the significance of granulometric analysis to understand and to distinguish various depositional environments viz., estuarine, lacustrine, fluvial and marine etc., in particular in the coastal realms.
COASTAL SEDIMENTS TEXTURAL AND STATISTICAL ANALYSIS
The coastline of Andhra Pradesh is situated on the Southeast coast of Indian Peninsula with waters of Bay of Bengal and length of the coastline is 974 kilometers. The coastline endowed with huge recent sediments. These have been attracting the attention of geologists for research in many aspects. The research output yields an excellent opportunity to examine texture, composition and distribution pattern of coastal sediments and is useful for delineating valuable minerals that are enriched in good abundance of coastal region. The coastal region contains heavy minerals like ilmenite, magnetite, garnet, sillimanite, rutile, zircon, monazite and epidote etc. These heavy minerals play a major role in different mineral based industries.

The stochastic block model (SBM) is a random graph model with different group of vertices connecting differently. It is widely employed as a canonical model to study clustering and community detection, and provides a fertile ground to study the information-theoretic and computational tradeoffs that arise in combinatorial statistics and more generally data science. This monograph surveys the recent developments that establish the fundamental limits for community detection in the SBM, both with respect to information-theoretic and computational tradeoffs, and for various recovery requirements such as exact, partial and weak recovery.
