This biographical encyclopedia will provide the first comprehensive reference work on leading scholars and professionals who have contributed to the development and institutionalization of psychology in Latin America. This copublication is the result of a 1987 technical cooperation agreement between the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). This agreement was designed to highlight the situation of midlife and older women in Latin America and the Caribbean, a population group which, to date, has received relatively little attention from researchers and policy-makers.
