Darkness has infected a sacred place by way of murder. This virus is not one that can be shared through air or water but lives within us all, and it is growing stronger. Nine Contemporary Jewish Plays
Jewish theatre—plays about and usually by Jews—enters the twenty-first century with a long and distinguished history. To keep this vibrant tradition alive, the National Foundation for Jewish Culture established the New Play Commissions in Jewish Theatre in 1994. The commissions are awarded in an annual competition. Globalization, Politics, and Financial Turmoil
In a world where capital moves freely across national borders, developing countries have increasingly been subjected to devastating financial crises caused by the sudden withdrawal of foreign capital. How do such crises come about? This book focuses on a novel causal path: that of miscommunication. By examining the determinants of Asia's financial crisis of 1997–8, it demonstrates why developing democracies are exceptionally vulnerable to breakdowns in communication between financial officials and the chief executive and outlines the disastrous consequences of such breakdowns. The book offers a framework for predicting where chief executives are most likely to be ill informed about critical economic variables. It also considers those situations in which politicians are dependent on financial officials whom they cannot completely trust or in which multiple veto players damage the flow of information.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Daniel Wolf who was born ca. 1750. He likely married Maria Elizabeth (surname unknown) sometime prior to the year 1771 in Berks Co., or Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania. They moved to Frederick Co., Maryland sometime prior to the year 1785 and were the parents of two sons and three daughters. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, California and elsewhere.
