The 13 revised full papers presented together with 3 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 21 submissions. The papers address a great diversity of topics in the fields of foundations and models of RL; languages based on RL; RL as a logical framework; RL as a semantic framework; use of RL to provide rigorous support for model-based software engineering; formalisms related to RL; verification techniques for RL specifications; comparisons of RL with existing formalisms having analogous aims; application of RL to specification and analysis of distributed systems and physical systems.
Software Engineering and Formal Methods
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Engineering and Formal Methods, SEFM 2011, held in Montevideo, Uruguay, in November 2011. The 22 revised regular papers presented together with 1 short paper, 2 tool papers, and 4 keynote talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 105 initial abstracts and 85 full submissions. Besides the regular session the conference held a special track devoted to "Modeling for Sustainable Development" with 5 accepted papers - selected from 7 submissions - that are also part of this volume. The aim of SEFM is to advance the state of the art in formal methods, to scale up their application in software industry and to encourage their integration with practical engineering methods.
Logic, Rewriting, and Concurrency
This Festschrift volume contains 28 refereed papers including personal memories, essays, and regular research papers by close collaborators and friends of José Meseguer to honor him on the occasion of his 65th birthday. These papers were presented at a symposium at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on September 23-25, 2015. The symposium also featured invited talks by Claude and Hélène Kirchner and by Patrick Lincoln. The foreword of this volume adds a brief overview of some of José's many scientific achievements followed by a bibliography of papers written by José.
