TB can also be found in the oral cavity, presenting as ulcers, gingivitis, periapical granulomas, granulation tissue, or osteomyelitis in the jaws. This case report discusses a 42-year-old woman who was confirmed to have Pulmonary Tuberculosis, with a bone defect found in the hard palate during a dental examination. This book is a celebration of the diversity of cultural experiences amongst our Malaysian youths that is reflective of a small microcosm of Malaysia’s society. In these personal narratives, we can read of cultural practices we may or may not be familiar with, how cultures have evolved through modernisation, how each person uniquely experiences culture, how one may choose to affirm or reject aspects of her/his culture she/he deems worthy or unworthy of preserving, and the enduring power culture seems to have over us. It is our hope that these stories could be read for pleasure or utilised in the classroom as reading materials. This collection of personal narratives aims to challenge the perspectives on Malaysian culture that is often reduced to stereotypical representations particularly in Malaysian textbooks by using the students’ own lived experiences.

A young school teacher is posted to a remote Aboriginal community, and through his experiences, his encounter with the local people, his discovery of the history of the community, his own history and his Aboriginality are revealed. Like many others in the novel, Billy is struggling to find a meaningful cultural identity and to create a better future from the wreckage of the recent history of Aboriginal people. What he finds at Karnama is a disintegrating community, characterised by government handouts, alcoholism, wife-beating, petrol-sniffing and an indifference to traditional beliefs and practices. It is a depressingly familiar litany of social problems which confirms the smug racial stereotypes of the white community to which Billy initially belongs. True Country offers no clear-cut solution to the realities of powerlessness. What it leaves us with is Billy's vision of the 'true country' which he shares with the unnamed Aboriginal narrator in the final pages of the novel.
Modern marketing techniques in industrialized countries cannot be implemented without segmentation of the potential market. Goods are no longer produced and sold without a significant consideration of customer needs combined with a recognition that these needs are heterogeneous. Since first emerging in the late 1950s, the concept of segmentation has been one of the most researched topics in the marketing literature. Segmentation has become a central topic to both the theory and practice of marketing, particularly in the recent development of finite mixture models to better identify market segments. This second edition of Market Segmentation updates and extends the integrated examination of s...
