International trade and climate change: part of the problem or part of the solution?
La relazione tra commercio e cambiamento climatico è molto complessa e le interazioni tra i due fenomeni si manifestano in molteplici modi. I meccanismi sono sia diretti che indiretti e le caratteristiche globali degli impatti sul clima e le relative responsabilità incrementano le difficoltà interne al dibattito politico. A tal fine, una profonda conoscenza dei collegamenti tra settori e regioni come così come tra diversi livelli decisionali, è un prerequisito per gli esercizi di valutazione delle politiche climatiche e/o commerciali.

La lotta al cambiamento climatico è un bene pubblico globale e la COP 26 è un appuntamento chiave per affrontarlo. Tuttavia, mentre l'accordo sul clima che sarà negoziato nella COP 26 dovrà essere globale, la sua attuazione dovrà essere locale poiché sarà guidata da ogni singolo Stato firmatario. Porta alla luce la proposta di un GCP che includa diversi strumenti economici -ETS, carbon tax, accise- alimentando un Fair Transition Fund per lo sviluppo inclusivo, come meccanismo flessibile, efficace e sostenibile per ridurre le emissioni globali di CO2.
Climate And Development
The 2015 Paris Accord stated the aim to limit the increase in global mean temperatures to 2ºC compared to pre-industrial levels and if possible, keep it down to 1.5ºC. Achieving this is possible, but the costs incurred are uncertain and the distribution of costs among nations is indistinct. Furthermore, even if the goal is realised, significant impacts from climate change can be expected. Evidence indicates that these will be felt most severely in countries that are relatively poor. These effects of climate change will be added to by the measures taken to reduce GHGs. Together, they will determine how climate change affects the prospects for development across the globe. The analysis of the interplay between climate change and policies to combat it on the one hand and development on the other are the focus of this book.

The Theatre Couple in Early Modern Italy
Who were the first celebrity couples? How was their success forged? Which forces influenced their self-fashioning and marketing strategies? These questions are at the core of this study, which looks at the birth of a phenomenon, that of the couple in show business, with a focus on the promotional strategies devised by two professional performers: Giovan Battista Andreini (1576–1654) and Virginia Ramponi (1583–ca.1631). This book examines their artistic path – a deliberately crafted and mutually beneficial joint career – and links it to the historical, social, and cultural context of post-Tridentine Italy. Rooted in a broad research field, encompassing theatre history, Italian studies, celebrity studies, gender studies, and performance studies, The Theatre Couple in Early Modern Italy revises the conventional view of the Italian diva, investigates the deployment of Catholic devotion as a marketing tool, and argues for the importance of the couple system in the history of Commedia dell’Arte, a system that continues to shape celebrity today.
The Fatimids
The chapters of this volume contain a series of detailed studies of various aspects of Fatimid rule in the regions of its Mediterranean and Near Eastern empire, 909 to 1171 AD, including separately the role of the imam-caliph, wazīr, chief qāḍī and dāʿī, and other political and public offices of this Shīʿī caliphate.
