This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of Industry Oriented Conferences held at IFIP 20th World Computer Congress in September 2008. The scope of the series includes: foundations of computer science; software theory and practice; education; computer applications in technology; communication systems; systems modeling and optimization; information systems; computers and society; computer systems technology; security and protection in information processing systems; artificial intelligence; and human-computer interaction. Proceedings and post-proceedings of refereed international conferences in computer science and interdisciplinary fields are featured. These results often precede journal publication and represent the most current research. The principal aim of the IFIP series is to encourage education and the dissemination and exchange of information about all aspects of computing.
Intelligent Interactive Multimedia Systems and Services 2017
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Tenth International KES Conference on Intelligent Interactive Multimedia Systems and Services: IIMSS-17. It includes 57 full papers organized into topical sections, ranging from visual data processing to big data analytics, and from multimedia to intelligent and cognitive systems. The conference took place as part of the Smart Digital Futures 2017 multi-theme conference, held in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal on 21–23 June 2017, which brings together AMSTA, IDT, InHorizons, InMed, SEEL and IIMSS in one venue. It provided an international forum for researchers and scientists to share their work and experiences in the field of multimedia and intelligent interactive systems and services.

Data Management in Pervasive Systems
This book contributes to illustrating the methodological and technological issues of data management in Pervasive Systems by using the DataBenc project as the running case study for a variety of research contributions: sensor data management, user-originated data operation and reasoning, multimedia data management, data analytics and reasoning for event detection and decision making, context modelling and control, automatic data and service tailoring for personalization and recommendation. Influence and Behavior Analysis in Social Networks and Social Media
This timely book focuses on influence and behavior analysis in the broader context of social network applications and social media. Twitter accounts of telecommunications companies are analyzed. Rumor sources in finite graphs with boundary effects by message-passing algorithms are identified. The coherent, state-of-the-art collection of chapters was initially selected based on solid reviews from the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Advances in Social Networks, Analysis, and Mining (ASONAM '17). Chapters were then improved and extended substantially, and the final versions were rigorously reviewed and revised to meet the series standards.
