Chiefly 13 booklets in which Ward recorded data concerning the more than 300 babies he delivered from 1915-1957, recording the name, sex, birth date, and birthplace of each newborn. Includes names of parents and their race, age, occupation, and birthplace as well as the number of the mother's previous births and the number of children living at that date. Ward delivered babies in villages in Wood, Ottawa, and Sandusky Counties. Some of the villages are Pemberville, Scotch Ridge, Custer, Luckey, Bradner, Bowling Green, Dunbridge, Haskins, Lemoyne, New Rochester, Genoa, Elmore, Fremont, and Wayne. During the final years of his practice (1951-1957) Ward delivered almost exclusively Hispanic children born to migrant families residing in the area. The collection also includes photographs as well as scans of Dr. Ward, his wife, and his office. From 1925-1955, Ward wrote a year-end summary of events involving his practice, his family, and the community. Also includes several postcards and early 19th century letters which appear to be unrelated to the collection.
