Stilleven
Stilleven is Guido Mocafico's interpretation of the great Dutch and German still-life paintings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. By painstakingly reconstructing banquet and floral scenes as well as vanitas still-lifes by artists such as Floris van Dijck and Pieter Claesz, Mocafico not only duplicates these paintings but brings them back to life. Using a large-format analogue camera with color transparencies, Mocafico creates brilliant images with the highest degree of verisimilitude. Mocafico's triumph, however, is not only recreating the appearance of things, but his restaging of the devout atmosphere of these paintings. Limited edition of 300 copies signed and numbered by the artist.

Das künstlerische Spektrum der französischen Künstlerin Camille Henrot (*1978) umfasst die Bereiche Film, Malerei, Zeichnung, Skulptur und Installation. Henrots Einflüsse sind vielfältig und reichen von der Selbsthilfe über die Kulturanthropologie bis hin zu den sozialen Medien in ihrer Auseinandersetzung mit dem sich verändernden Status der Informationsverbreitung und der zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen. Henrots vielschichte Kunst stellt die Frage, was es bedeutet, gleichzeitig ein privates Individuum und ein globales Subjekt zu sein. Ugo Rondinone (b. Brunnen, Switzerland, 1964; lives and works in New York) is one of the most accomplished artists of his generation. For three decades, the conceptual and installation artist has built an oeuvre grappling with themes of time and impermanence, day and night, reality and fiction, nature and culture.
