A investigação teórica de diversas fontes bibliográficas permitiu a melhor contextualização dos conceitos-chave para se compreender melhor a importância da mediação. Por meio das pesquisas, os conhecimentos se ampliaram vindo a sistematizar como a mediação se apresenta dentro do âmbito jurídico e pedagógico. O caminho percorrido foi a defesa de alguns pontos-chave, para a temática, os quais permitiram trabalhar diversos conceitos dentro do tema, pois vivemos em uma sociedade pós-moderna, com uma vida agitada e com avanço acelerado da tecnologia, em que o tempo tem se tornado escasso para algumas pessoas, é tudo agora, já, sem espera, sem análise, sem discussão, o que pode de alguma forma desviar o sujeito de um olhar mais afetuoso e harmonioso, em que ouvir o outro e se colocar no lugar do outro é algo difícil de se conquistar. Neste volume, o leitor poderá refletir sobre a importância da mediação para a resolução de alguns conflitos, além de ser algo menos moroso.
