Geometrical concepts play a significant role in the analysis of physical systems. Apart from the intrinsic interest, the knowledge of differentiable manifolds has become useful — even mandatory — in an ever-increasing number of areas of mathematics and its applications. Many results/concepts in analysis find their most natural (generalized) setting in manifold theory. An interrelation of geometry and analysis can be found in this volume. The book presents original research, besides a few survey articles by eminent experts from all over the world on current trends of research in differential and algebraic geometry, classical and modern analysis including the theory of distributions (linear and nonlinear), partial differential equations and wavelets.

The theme of the conference is an important ingredient of scientific computing also known as computational science and engineering. The themes of Modeling of Real World Systems; Wavelet Analysis with Applications; Dynamical Systems Compromise; Numerical Methods; Typical Methods of Engineering and Technology were discussed.
This volume presents recent advances in the field of matrix analysis based on contributions at the MAT-TRIAD 2015 conference. Topics covered include interval linear algebra and computational complexity, Birkhoff polynomial basis, tensors, graphs, linear pencils, K-theory and statistic inference, showing the ubiquity of matrices in different mathematical areas. With a particular focus on matrix and operator theory, statistical models and computation, the International Conference on Matrix Analysis and its Applications 2015, held in Coimbra, Portugal, was the sixth in a series of conferences. Applied and Computational Matrix Analysis will appeal to graduate students and researchers in theoretical and applied mathematics, physics and engineering who are seeking an overview of recent problems and methods in matrix analysis.
This text emerges out of the need to share information and knowledge on the research and practices of using multimedia in various educational settings. It discusses issues relating to planning, designing and development of interactive multimedia, offering research data.
The wavelet transform has emerged as one of the most promising function transforms with great potential in applications during the last four decades. The present monograph is an outcome of the recent researches by the author and his co-workers, most of which are not available in a book form. Nevertheless, it also contains the results of many other celebrated workers of the ?eld. The aim of the book is to enrich the theory of the wavelet transform and to provide new directions for further research in theory and applications of the wavelet transform. The book does not contain any sophisticated Mathematics. It is intended for graduate students of Mathematics, Physics and Engineering sciences, a...
This book is a collection of the various old and new results, centered around the following simple and beautiful observation of J.L. Walsh - If a function is analytic in a finite disc, and not in a larger disc, then the difference between the Lagrange interpolant of the function, at the roots of unity, and the partial sums of the Taylor series, about the origin, tends to zero in a larger disc than the radius of convergence of the Taylor series, while each of these operators converges only in the original disc. This book will be particularly useful for researchers in approximation and interpolation theory.
This book presents advances in high performance computing as well as advances accomplished using high performance computing. It contains a collection of papers presenting results achieved in the collaboration of scientists from computer science, mathematics, physics, and mechanical engineering. From science problems to mathematical algorithms and on to the effective implementation of these algorithms on massively parallel and cluster computers, the book presents state-of-the-art methods and technology, and exemplary results in these fields.
