"This thesis considers the ways that the law of the built environment in Canada perpetuates the segregation of people with disabilities away from public space. How and what we build is a highly regulated activity. If these regulations, like provincial building code or municipal bylaws, presume that the public is able-bodied then we will continue to build in a way that excludes or disadvantages disabled people.
