(Vocal). With music by William Bolcom and libretto by Arnold Weinstein and Arthur Miller, this opera in two acts was given its World Premiere at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in October of 1999. The gripping story of love and betrayal is set in the rich background of the 1950s Italian immigrant life in Brooklyn.
