This book constitutes the proceedings of the 27th International Conference on Formal Methods for Industrial Critical Systems, FMICS 2022, which took place in Warsaw, Poland, in September 2022. The 13 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 22 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: Certification; industrial use cases; testing and monitoring; and methodology.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 14 the European Workshop on Dependable Computing, EWDC 2013, held in Coimbra, Portugal, in May 2013. The 9 full papers and 6 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 24 submissions. Also included in the volume are 6 fast abstracts presenting work in progress or new ideas in the dependability area. The papers are organized in topical sections on wireless sensor networks; cloud computing and services; testing and fault detection, fault injection and benchmarking and dependable and secure computing.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of 6 workshops co-located with SAFECOMP 2014, the 33rd International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability, and Security, held in Florence, Italy, in September 2014. The 32 revised full and 10 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 58 submissions. They are complemented with 6 introduction to each of the workshops: Architecting Safety in Collaborative Mobile Systems, ASCoMS'14; ERCIM/EWICS/ARTEMIS Workshop on Dependable Embedded and Cyberphysical Systems and Systems-of-Systems, DECSoS'14; DEvelopment, Verification and VAlidation of cRiTical Systems, DEVVARTS'14; Integration of Safety and Security Engineering, ISSE'14; Reliability and Security Aspects for Critical Infrastructure Protection, ReSA4CI'14; Next Generation of System Assurance Approaches for Safety-Critical Systems, SASSUR'14.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 25th International Symposium on Model Checking Software, SPIN 2018, held in Malaga, Spain, in June 2018. The 14 papers presented, 1 short paper, and 1 demo-tool paper, were carefully reviewed and selected from 28 submissions. Topics covered include formal verification techniques for automated analysis of software; formal analysis for modeling languages, such as UML/state charts; formal specification languages, temporal logic, design-by-contract; model checking, automated theorem proving, including SAT and SMT; verifying compilers; abstraction and symbolic execution techniques; and much more.
DepCoS – RELCOMEX is an annual series of conferences organized by Wrocław University of Technology to promote a comprehensive approach to evaluation of system performability which is now commonly called dependability. In contrast to classic analyses which were concentrated on reliability of technical resources and structures built from them, dependability is based on multi-disciplinary approach to theory, technology and maintenance of a system considered to be a multifaceted amalgamation of technical, information, organization, software and human (users, administrators, supervisors, etc.) resources. Diversity of processes being realized (data processing, system management, system monitori...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Service Availability Symposium, ISAS 2007, held in Durham, NH, USA in May 2007. The 12 revised full papers presented are organized in topical sections on middleware, software systems, modeling and analysis, as well as model-driven development and human engineering.
As software systems become more and more ubiquitous, the issues of dependability become more and more critical. Given that solutions to these issues must be planned at the beginning of the design process, it is appropriate that these issues be addressed at the architectural level. This book is inspired by the ICSE 2002 Workshop on Architecting Dependable Systems; it is devoted to current topics relevant for improving the state of the art for architecting dependability. Some of the 13 peer-reviewed papers presented were initially presented at the workshop, others were invited in order to achieve competent and complete coverage of all relevant aspects. The papers are organized in topical sections on - architectures for dependability - fault tolerance in software architectures - dependability analysis in software architectures - industrial experience.
This book presents papers on various problems of dependability in computer systems and networks that were discussed at the 14th DepCoS-RELCOMEX conference, in Brunów, Poland, from 1st to 5th July 2019. Discussing new ideas, research results and developments in the design, implementation, maintenance and analysis of complex computer systems, it is of interest to researchers and practitioners who are dealing with dependability issues in such systems. Dependability analysis came as a response to new challenges in the evaluation of contemporary complex systems, which should be considered as systems of people – with their needs and behaviours –interacting with technical communication channels (such as mobile activities, iCloud, Internet of Everything) and online applications, often operating in hostile environments. The diversity of topics covered, illustrates the variety of methods used in this area, often with the help of the latest results in artificial and computational intelligence.
