This 420-page chunk of paper contains the complete works of Fender Tucker, including both of his books: TALES FROM THE TOWER and WEED, WOMEN AND SONG. The first half is fiction and the second half reads like fiction, but it's all true, according to his memory of life as it was in Farmington NM in the 50s and 60s. The book also contains the lyrics to every song he wrote back in the days he misspent as a guitar-picking slugabed. Ed Gorman wrote that he enjoyed thumbing through the many short memoirs which add up to a sort of autobiography. Does someone like Fender Tucker deserve an autobiography? Read THE COMPLEAT CALHOON and see for yourself.

Reaching People Under 40 while Keeping People over 60

Many established churches are facing a number of challenges in today's increasingly secular culture. Such a shift in many communities creates a challenge of church growth and church health when it seems that satisfying the needs of one group creates barriers to reaching another group. So many are asking, "How do you keep people over sixty years of age, who often hold church culture values-while at the same time reach people under forty, who often hold postmodern values?" If a church is interested in growing, this situation becomes a major challenge. Reaching People under 40 while Keeping People over 60 looks at the church as it seeks to function in a new world. It looks at the differences in the generations and at postmodernism - not just a generational difference but a global change. Most importantly, Reaching People under 40 while Keeping People over 60 looks at what a church can do in this new age to help the church survive - and thrive! Foreword by Bill Easum. A TCP Leadership Series title.

While hockey great Barry Beck had been in fights before, nothing had prepared him for a one-two punch this vicious. On July 26, 2020, Beck's son Brock was murdered. Just over seven months later, Beck's former New York Rangers teammate, U.S. Olympic hero Mark Pavelich, died by suicide. “With Brock's murder, I was thrust into this prison cell of trauma. You can't get out. You don't have the skills. You're trapped like a prisoner.” With no clear pathway out, and too little support in place, Beck faced a momentous choice: would he be defeated or defiant? Would he surrender to his anger and pain or fight to find a better way through? Giving up would have been easy, but once you’re a captain...

The Red Knight is the product of 25 years of meticulous research. It is, arguably, the most comprehensive account ever written about the Canadian Air Force’s legendary solo jet-aerobatics performer. An important part of Canadian aviation history, the Red Knight is third in longevity and total number of performances among RCAF display teams. In recognition of the program’s importance, Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame honoured the Red Knight with its Belt of Orion Award for Excellence in 2020 and the Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative coin in 2022. The Red Knight chronicles the history of the program, from its origins in 1957 to its cancellation in 1970. Everyone who has enjoyed wa...
