It spoke of doing rodeo, A circuit of twelve long years, When at times its owner Had to swallow back his fears ... Janice N. Priceless Pages from Amazing People

This book is a reflection of the hearts and souls of true American people: poets that have written pieces of their lives into their poems. You will laugh with them. You will cry with them. You will share their lives as you read through their writings. They have lived in the Military. They have lived in war zones. They have experienced episodes of tragedies and rejections right here at home. They have humbled themselves with God. They have lived on ranches and in the cities and smaller towns across these United States. They are the working Americans who have found time to record pieces of their lives in poems. Some of them also perform their poetry at various events across the nation. I am proud to call them friends. I am proud and honored that they have allowed me to share their poetry and mini short stories along with mine in this book.

He was mean, arrogant, selfish, and a dominating bully -- and marry him? Not on your life! She had plans for entering the Barrel Racing Event and then going on to college to become a Veterinarian, and her plans did not include Dexter Trohold. Her damaged church document allowed her to choose whom she wanted to become engaged to, and she chose the man she loved, Haskel Robins. Dexter Trohold dealt her family some misery that landed him in prison. Later after breaking out he kidnapped her from the college dorm. She jumped from his car suffering some minor injuries, and Dexter was killed by a Highway Patrolman after shooting at the officer. While she was recovering in the Hospital, Haskel Robins, after talking to the College Dean and both parents, planned their future for them. They would be married a week from Sunday.
