Comme s'il était possible ou profitable de corseter de la sorte la quête de Celui qu'on ne peut nommer. Tu y trouveras un homme vivant qui, comme toi, cherche Dieu au-delà de tout. Cet homme est en communion avec son siècle ; il est aussi en lutte avec sa tradition, avec son temps, avec le langage dans lequel nous tentons d'incarner nos rêves. Cet homme est un montagnard qui a apprécié la résistance de la roche ; c'est un jésuite vu de l'intérieur ; c'est enfin (par hasard !) un bibliste reconnu mondialement ; c'est par-dessus tout un chercheur qui, grâce à l'intervention de Jean Maurice de Montremy, donne à partager son regard neuf et à découvrir, sous la croûte durcie des réalités, une sève généreuse.
