Comics and the punk movement are inextricably linked--each has a foundational do-it-yourself ethos and a nonconformist spirit defiant of authority. This collection of new essays provides for the first time a thorough analysis of the intersections between comics and punk. The contributors expand the discussion beyond the familiar U.S. and UK scenes to include the influence punk has had on comics produced in other countries, such as Spain and Turkey.

Mathews of the Blount County News-Dispatch died in 1896, Stephens moved the Democrat to Oneonta. When the News-Dispatch folded in 1903, the Democrat was the preeminent Blount County newspaper. Stephens died in 1939, but the Democrat continued to publish in Oneonta for almost 100 years. In 1989 the old Southern Democrat was renamed the Blount Countain. Microfilm for the old Southern Democrat was acquired from the State Archives in Montgomery and studied page by page. This volume presents insights from five years of intensive Holocaust, genocide, and mass atrocity education at Queensborough Community College (QCC) of the City University of New York (CUNY), USA, to offer four approaches—Arts-Based, Textual, Outcomes-Based, and Social Justice—to designing innovative, integrative, and differentiated pedagogies for today’s college students. The authors cover the theoretical foundations of each approach, and include faculty reflections on the programs, instructional strategies, and student reactions that brought the approaches to life across the disciplines.

Blount County was carved out of the territory ceded to the State by the Creek Indians following their defeat at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. The earliest settlers began streaming into the former wilderness as early as 1817. Blount was originally a large county, but over the decades pieces were taken to make up other adjoining counties such as Jefferson, Marshall, Etowah, and Cullman. Every cemetery within the contemporary boundaries of Blount was visited by the author and each readable tombstone was copied to develop the contents of this three volume series. Most of the cemeteries were read in 2002. Volume 1 covers alphabetically H through P, beginning with the Hipp Family Cemetery and concluding with the Phillips Cemetery (sometimes called the Old County Line Cemetery). This book is vital to any serious student of Blount County genealogy and history.

Frank Gable knows how corrupt the system is. He has experienced it firsthand. You see, Frank Edward Gable is absolutely one hundred percent innocent of the crimes he was convicted of. The public knows it, the victim's family knows it, and the prosecutors damned well knew it. But they needed a fall guy and Frank Gable fit the bill. By the time you finish reading this book, you will know it, too. And that will shock the hell out of you. It is incredible how many laws were broken, how many lies were passed off as the truth, and just how far the crooks in power went in order to convict someone, anyone, for the January 17, 1989 murder of Prison Director James Michael Francke (the day before he was to testify before the Oregon legislature). I tell you step by step how they did it. Guaranteed, this is the book that they do not want you to read.

I am appealing to my Jewish brothers and sisters to help me right some wrongs before we all pay for them. History records how Jews have been persecuted but never really say why. I am telling you why. It is because of the greed of the Jewish power brokers and the discrimination by the rest of us. Here I track a crime family to America and reveal how they took over our money (via the Federal reserve and world banks). They control the media. They control the White House, Congress, and even your life. They assassinated both JFK and RFK, and will kill anyone else who stands up to them. In Oregon, they murdered James Ross and Michael Francke to silence them. That makes me a dead man. I also address Global warming, cosmology, treason, and a lot of other things you thought you knew. This book is enlightening, but it is also shocking. If we sit back and do nothing, we will all pay. History has proven that. Please help.

If you thought that you knew what a kangeroo court was, you were absolutely wrong. Nothing could prepare you for the shock that is contained within these pages. They framed Frank Gable and made a mockery of justice. Think it was an isolated incident? You're crazy. Think it can't happen in your neck of the woods? You're crazy. There is a concerted effort to undermine all that the United States stands for. After reading this, you will understand why the entire world hates us. In fact, you will hate us. We allowed a foreign nation (Israel) to take over the U.S. and the whole world is pissed. So am I. These thugs belong in prison. And an innocent man should be freed. I guarantee you, with my life, that this is going to open up your eyes in a way that you never imagined. If you were not scared before, you will be after. Free Frank Gable! The man is innocent!!!
