Research Design to Forecast Demand for New Types of Technicians in an Industry
The objective of the study was to develop a research design in broad outline form which can be employed to detect, define, and forecast the need for emerging new technicians including planned sources of supply. A secondary objective was to develop the research design to provide information on upgrad ing of skilled workers, displacement of skilled or technical workers, and new types of skilled or technical workers to be employed in support of the new technician. Descendants of Jacob Folk
Johan Jacob Folk was born 12 July 1724 in Germany. His parents were Jakob Volk (1682-1732) and Johanna Mayer (1686-1741). He emigrated in 1737 and settled in Pennsylvania. He moved to South Carolina in 1740. He married Pomona Coon and they had two sons. He married Catherine Epting and they had five children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany and South Carolina.
A Century of Georgia Agriculture, 1850-1950
Published in 1954, this survey of Georgia agriculture is chronologically divided into three sections. “The End of the Golden Age, 1850–1865,” describes the last decade of antebellum agriculture before the overthrow of the plantation system. “The Long Depression, 1865–1900,” tells of the search for new ways to restore prosperity to Georgia's struggling agricultural system. And “The Revolutionary New Century, 1900–1950,” illustrates how agriculture underwent rapid development due to mechanization, diversifi cation, and application of scientific methods.
