(Orginally published in 2010) The seventh monograph of AMTE highlights examples of important scholarship of and for the mathematics teacher education community. This monograph, like others produced by AMTE, serves as a forum for mathematics teacher educators to exchange ideas, experiences, resources, and detailed accounts of work to improve teacher preparation. Chapters in this monograph take up a variety of issues such as using online social networking in the preparation of teachers, examining the impact of textbook specific professional development, and offering a mathematics-specific reading in the content area course.

Navigating Through Geometry in Grades 9-12
Approaching geometry through a transformational lens, this book concentrates on topics such as the use of transformations, coordinates and matrices and congruence and similarity. Activities that take students through geometric tasks require some use of technology, including interactive geometry software and a calculator or a computer with software that produces geometric images and graphs. The supplemental CD-ROM features interactive electronic activities, master copies of activity pages for students and additional readings for teachers.

The Descendants of Mercer (Messer) Norton, 1750?-1800? and His Wife Martha
Mercer (Messer) Norton (ca. 1750-ca. 1800) moved from Fairfax (later Loudon) County, Virginia to Randolph County, North Carolina, married Martha Higgins, moving in 1790 to Burke County, North Carolina, and later to Wayne County, Kentucky. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Arizona, Utah, California and elsewhere.
