In When migration becomes conflict - political group dynamics, Jonas Nilsson has collected eleven essays, with the main theme being political group dynamics. Nilsson's premiss is that groups are formed by identity. When groups thus try to favour their interests, these will possibly collide with the interests of other groups. To understand what the true political challenge of our time is, we have to observe the opposition of establishment. What does this opposition want to prevent and change? What political issue causes hostility in society, and causes division between our political leadership, including the ones they represent, and the opposition? The climate issue is not the barrier between...

Anarcho-Fascism: Nature Reborn deals with a multitude of important current issues, and presents a controversial and constructive starting point for an intellectual discussion on how the West can regain control of its own destiny. The book can rightly be described as a polemical pamphlet, built on solid arguments and full of references to other works, for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the subjects discussed. The author does not shy away from issues that are considered taboo in contemporary society, as these subjects are crucial to future developments. The title "Anarcho-Fascism" might seem contradictory at first glance, bearing in mind the classical view on anarchism and fascism. Is there really anything that unites these ideologies, and can offer a solution to the problems facing the West? Based on the author's bachelor's thesis in political science, the book goes beyond the strict limits of ideologies and gives alternative answers to many questions. It invites the reader to partake in a discussion of the false perceptions that are influential today, and what the consequences of this will be. It also offers possible solutions to avoid this likely future scenario.

Norwegians, Swedes and More: Destination Dakota Terriory, Benson-Johnson

"Norwegians, Swedes and More" provides a synopsis of our ancestral family components; Norwegians and Swedes as well as those of French, German, English and Canadian descent by way of the St. Lawrence Seaway in Quebec and upstate New York. Part I, Destination Dakota Territory, describes Loren's multifaceted family from all of the above backgrounds and finds them as homesteaders in Minnehaha County, "Dakota" [Dakota Territory, South Dakota]. Part II, Norway to Minnesota, is "all Norwegian" and finds Mavis' families homesteading in Lac qui Parle County in west central Minnesota where they reached their final Vesterheim. This book is the fourth of six about these families, each containing the same core of material to set the stage for individual family presentations. Book Four provides descriptions and stories about Loren's Benson - Johnson Swedish ancestors and descendants after beginning their lives in Eldsberga and Halmstad areas in southwestern Sweden.

This book is primarily about securing your home against potential unwanted intruders and keeping your family safe. The rise in violent crime affecting my country stems directly from an increase in criminal behavior and farm attacks, resulting in loss of innocent lives in my country. The message in this book goes out to all innocent, law-abiding citizens of South Africa. It is time to take a stand and prepare yourselves against becoming victims of the lawlessness plaguing our country. The authorities themselves face great challenges, numerous obstacles, and insufficient support. As a result, we are losing the battle against all crime and, particularly, violent crime. It is now up to individual citizens to change their mind-set and become unbeatable adversaries of the criminal element. I dont advocate vigilantism or breaking the law in order to achieve this. What I suggest instead is that people need to develop the mental and physical skills to avoid violence in the first place and then, if necessary, use a level of violence higher than that which would be imposed on them in a conflict situation.

Belief Revision meets Philosophy of Science

Belief Revision meets Philosophy of Science

Belief revision theory and philosophy of science both aspire to shed light on the dynamics of knowledge – on how our view of the world changes (typically) in the light of new evidence. Yet these two areas of research have long seemed strangely detached from each other, as witnessed by the small number of cross-references and researchers working in both domains. One may speculate as to what has brought about this surprising, and perhaps unfortunate, state of affairs. One factor may be that while belief revision theory has traditionally been pursued in a bottom- up manner, focusing on the endeavors of single inquirers, philosophers of science, inspired by logical empiricism, have tended to be more interested in science as a multi-agent or agent-independent phenomenon.

Foreign Fighters in Ukraine

Foreign Fighters in Ukraine is the first comprehensive academic study taking an in-depth look at foreigners who have chosen to fight in the conflict in Ukraine. While there has been considerable focus in policy, security and academic circles on the threat from returning jihadists – so-called returnee foreign terrorist fighters – the same danger from right-wing, but not essentially terrorist, extremists and others has been largely overlooked. As Westerners rushed to join the nascent Caliphate in Syria/Iraq, others simultaneously traveled to another foreign war on what many would call Europe’s doorstep: the Russo-Ukrainian war. This book unmasks this largely unknown group of fighters as ...

This book reviews problems with credit use and causes of indebtedness among young adults, while uncovering possibilities to encourage a healthier attitude towards loans in this segment of the population. Both consumption loans and mortgages are covered in order to adequately represent real-world credit use by young people about to enter adulthood. It focuses on three distinctive actors: the legislative authorities, the financial institution, most commonly a bank, and finally the individual borrower. More specifically, the book discusses the functioning of these three entities in the context of young adults borrowing behaviour, and would appeal to academics, researchers and students of financial institutions and banking.

Visual grading evaluation of reconstruction methods and dose optimisation in abdominal Computed Tomography

Since its introduction in the 1970’s CT has emerged as a modality of choice because of its high sensitivity in producing accurate diagnostic images. A third of all Computed Tomography (CT) examinations are abdominal CTs which deliver one of the highest doses among common examinations. An increase in the number of CT examinations has raised concerns about the negative effects of ionising radiation as the dose is cumulative over the life span of the individual. Image quality in CT is closely related to the radiation dose, so that a certain dose with an associated small, but not negligible, risk is a prerequisite for high image quality. Typically, dose reduction in CT results in higher noise ...
