We know prayer is important! But growing a praying church is not easy! “It may not be easy,” says Jonathan Graf in Restored Power, “but it does not have to be daunting.” Highly practical, Restored Power will show leaders how to become a praying church . . . one step at a time. It will encourage you as it provides manageable ways to tweak prayer, stimulate prayer, and motivate prayer within your congregation. Using his 20 plus years’ experience helping churches grow in prayer, Graf provides down to earth suggestions and things to think about as leaders that will put your church on a steady journey to become “a house of prayer for all nations” (Matthew 21:13).

Analog Mazes

Mazes are a great way to keep the mind sharp. They help with problem solving and planning. Solving mazes boosts confidence and self-esteem. They help with developing or maintaining fine motor skills. Solving mazes may help improve memory, emotional regulation, and are a great mindfulness strategy. This book includes a variety of mazes that start easy and progressively get more difficult. Each dab, smear, wavy line, or other minor imperfection is a reminder the mazes are hand-drawn using pencil, paper, and inks. No technology was used in the creation of the mazes. They all came from the mind of the maze maker drawn by hand. There is a warmth to analog and value in testing your wits with a puzzle maker working ways to stump even the best puzzle solvers. Get lost finding your way out.

First published in 1897, Bram Stoker's Dracula has never been out of print. Yet most people are familiar with the title character from the movies. Count Dracula is one of the most-filmed literary characters in history--but has he (or Stoker's novel) ever been filmed accurately? In its third edition, this study focuses on 18 adaptations of Dracula from 1922 to 2012, comparing them to the novel and to each other. Fidelity to the novel does not always guarantee a good movie, while some of the better films are among the more freely adapted. The Universal and Hammer sequels are searched for traces of Stoker, along with several other films that borrow from the novel. The author concludes with a brief look at four latter-day projects that are best dismissed or viewed for ironic laughs.

Megachurch Accountability in Missions:

Megachurches are of relatively recent vintage. Their numerical strength invests them with social and financial power. To whom, if anyone, however, are megachurches accountable? What role do they play as innovators in missions? How have their enormous influence and financial strength been harnessed? What lessons can be learned? What course corrections ought to be made? Over the course of a week, the third meeting of the Korean Global Mission Leadership Forum (KGMLF), held in Korea in 2015, addressed these and related questions. Combining the insights of a rich mix of Korean and international megachurch leaders and scholars, Megachurch Accountability in Missions: Korean and Global Case Studies offers analysis, critique, and positive recommendations for future megachurch engagement in mission.
