A translator translates additional ancient records to bring more to light about Joseph who was sold into Egypt.
In the biblical narrative, Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and rose to become vizier, the second most powerful man in Egypt next to Pharaoh, where his presence and office caused Israel to leave Canaan and settle in Egypt. Joseph lived to be 110 years old before he died. His re-quest echoed those of his father, Jacob, when he asked that his bones be returned to Canaan. This glimpse into the suggested thought life of Joseph is in no way implied to be exact. There are too many gaps in Scripture that I have attempted to fill with some degree of accuracy and my imagination.
