Bonded Leather binding
Letter to Mr. Elder, asking if he has among his collection of old playbills any bearing the name of Cooper. Ireland would like to borrow it to have it copied. The playbill will be a sort of supplementary illustration to his "Cooper" memoir, which the Dunlop Society is soon to issue. Postscript dated April 16, the previous note was returned to him and had to be re-directed. The Cooper memoir reached him on Saturday.
Handwritten letter, signed. Discusses theatre.
Mostly concerning writings by both Winter and Ireland.
Ireland writes about play-bills, his great collection of Shakespearean prints and his having the treasurer's book of the old Park Theatre for 1832-1847, etc.
In acknowledgement of the compliment of honorary membership in The Players, Ireland sends a volume of bills of the old John St. Theatre running from 1791 to 1795.
