The Goshenhoppen Registers, 1741-1819
Mr. Schlegel has abstracted all the genealogical information that appeared in the Northern Irish newspaper the Londonderry Journal from its inception in June 1772 through the end of 1784. While marriage notices predominate, researchers will also encounter reference to birthds, deaths and separations, estate settlements, and notices of persons emigrating to North America. All told, this fully indexed publication identifies some 2,000 Irish men and women, and it should be especially useful in tracing 18th-century Scotch-Irish ancestors

In Search of the Maquis : Rural Resistance in Southern France 1942-1944
This is a study of the Maquis in southern France, the Resisters who took to the woods and hills in the struggle against the German Occupation in the Second World War. H. R. Kedward's detailed and perceptive account explores what participation in the Maquis meant for those involved both at the time and subsequently. He examines the motivations of the maquisards and how the circumstances of occupation and resistance affected the ways of life of rural communities in the south of France. Nicolas Zins was born in 1625. He married Catherine and they had six children. He died in about 1700 in Gros-Rederching, France. Descendant, Adam Zins, was born in 1796 in Gros-Rederching, France. He married Magdalena Wagner in 1836 in Bining, France. He died in 1876 in St. Mary's, Indiana. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in France, Germany, Ohio and Indiana,.
