On Monday Evenings
Talks given by Father Joseph Kentenich (1885-1868). Volume 21, Our Life in the Light of Faith, questions the ultimate meaning of all events from the perspective of God's immanence, both in our personal lives as well as in society. Father Kentenich knows that images and symbols -- more strongly then ideas -- touch life and shape the everyday. Using the image of the first flights into space, he shows the world conquering power of a living faith.

Under the Eyes of the Merciful Loved Father
Over many decades, Father Kentenich led people with great patience and the power of his inner conviction of God as a merciful, loving Father. He recognized this image of God in the message conveyed to us in the Scriptures. Untiringly Father Kentenich transmitted this image through spiritual direction as well as in his talks and sermons. At the same time, he distanced himself from an image of God which created more fear and anxiety in the human person than reverence and love. In the texts collected in this book the reader will encounter the happy message of the merciful, loving Father God, presented in a way that is down-to-earth and easy to understand.

The texts presented here are taken from the rich legacy left by Fr. Joseph Kentenich. The introductions to the texts are designed to aid understanding of the text.These texts were collected following the suggestion of Team 2014 by the Sektion Mittelrhein of the Joseph-Kentenich-Institute and edited by Msgr. Peter Wolf. He is the Rector General of the Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests and member of the General Presidium of the International Schoenstatt Movement.

Father Joseph Kentenich (1885-1968), Founder of the International Schoenstatt Movement, gave these talks for couples in Milwaukee, WI, USA. This is the second book in the series. Father Kentenich presents his concern, "How can we walk with God throughout the day?" He was convinced that precisely this exercise documented genuine Christian holiness. Life "at the hand of God and with God in the heart" was the consequence of the covenant of love with Mary. As symbolic expression of this covenant Father Kentenich interprets the symbolism of the rose.

Faith in the Merciful Father-love of God encourages the deepening of faith in the merciful Father-love of God and the formation of one's life out of this faith. Father Kentenich determines that many people have a false image of God and, in contrast to this, he describes the correct image of God: God is a merciful Father, who responds with unendingly merciful love to the weaknesses and sins of mankind when these are recognized and acknowledged. A living visual aid for his merciful Father-love is given to us in Christ and Mary.
Forming the New Person
Homelessness of heart and soul, fatherless times, inability to make contact, infantile religious knowledge, the capacity for religious experience, purification of the subconscious, the meaning, appreciation, love, and reconquest of home -- these and their fulfillment in devotion to Mary are the focus of this pedagogical conference held October 2-5, 1951, by Father Joseph Kentenich (1885-1968) in Schoenstatt, Germany.Father Kentenich was known throughout Germany and Switzerland for his insightful and pedagogical conferences. He selected themes and issues of the day to work through from a Catholic perspective. Conference for educators, both lay and clerical, were high on his list of priorities. This conference is as relevant today as it was in 1951.
