John Amos Hall est né à New Carlisle, Québec le 21 novembre 1826. Il était le fils de Daniel et de Rachael Hall de Port Daniel, Québec. Il s'est marié à Marceline Arsenault le 10 novembre 1856. Il y avait quatre enfants. John est mort à Tracadie, Nouveau-Brunswick le 5 août 1911. Les descendants habitent principalement au Québec et au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Renseignements généalogiques sur les ancêtres et descendants de Thomas Breton, dont le premier ancêtre canadien, Jean Héli dit Breton arriva au Canada vers 1666 et s'établit à Ile-d'Orléans. Thomas Breton, né en 1854 à Ile-d'Orléans, épousa Philomène Labrecque en 1880 en ce lieu. Philomène Labrecque descend de Pierre Labrecque qui vint s'établir au Canada où il épousa Jeanne Chotard en 1663 à Château-Richer.
