Eero Noppa, Jalasjärven joulu, 1965 Avaan kirjassani taiteilijaperheen elämää syntymästä kuolemaan. Kuvaan lapsen kasvamista kipsisäkkien keskellä ja kerron, mitä kätkeytyy teosten taakse. Kirjoitan siitä arjesta, jossa monet kuvanveistäjäparin teokset ovat syntyneet. Kirjani ei ole täydelllinen historiikki tai teosluettelo, mutta se pyrkii antamaan käsityksen Maija Nuotion ja Taisto Martiskaisen taiteellisesta luomistyöstä. Kerron heidän tarinansa omien kokemusteni pohjalta käyttäen täydentävänä lähteenä sukulaisten ja sisarusteni haastatteluja sekä satojen sanomalehtiartikkeleiden sisältöjä.
