Croissant

Ditemani santainya kepulan asap teh saat senja Sepotong croissant renyah mencecap rasa Berlapis seperti kisah kehidupan yang tak kunjung habis Diwakili sepuluh cerita dunia Semoga tak lekas ucapkan bon voyage—se|amat tinggal Hanya maklumi c'est la vie-itulah hidup “... kemahiran memadu judul-judul yang funky, bahasa yang light, dan pilihan tema tentang hidup yang muda dengan segala romantismenya, menjadikan kumpulan cerita buku ini seolah teman yang akan menemani kita melepas lelah.” — Sannle B. Kuncoro, penulis novel “Garis Perempuan"", ""Ma Yan"", “Memilikimu"" “... mungkin berlebihan untuk mengatakan saya tersihir oleh tulisan Winda. Tetapi, pasti saya menikmati setiap kata, kalimat, dan keseluruhan ceritanya seperti ketika SD saya menikmati cerita ibu guru saya. Saya bukan sekadar menunggu ending, tetapi iuga menikmati bagaimana cerita berproses. — Her Suharyanto, pegiat dunia perbukuan dan penulisan

This book provides an important account of how the city in South Asia is produced, lived and contested. It examines the diverse lived experiences of urban South Asia through a focus on contestations over urban space, resources and habitation, bringing together accounts from India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In contrast to accounts that attribute urban transformation mainly to neoliberal globalisation, this book vividly demonstrates how neoliberalism functions as one of the many drivers of urban change. This edited volume brings together an interdisciplinary and international range of established and emerging scholars working on the city in South Asia. To date, South Asian urban studies p...

People's development justice report

For the study, the four SDGs were reviewed as such WOREC has been relentlessly working since twenty six years on women’s health, gender equality, safe migration and advocacy on decent work and climate action in 9 different districts namely Kailali, Dang, Udayapur, Morang, Sunsari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Bardiya and Sindhuli. Though goal 8 and 13 are not being reviewed in HLPF this year, WOREC reviewed these goals being these its expertise areas so that the human and financial resources can be maximised in reviewing the implementation of SDGs at local level. WOREC’s human resources in aforementioned districts were mobilized to carry out focus group discussions and key informant interviews. During the data collection at the grassroots level, the community people were oriented on the basic knowledge on SDGs. Realizing that the local government officers such as women and children officers present in all the districts of Nepal are the key people to implement SDGs, WOREC facilitated orientations on SDGs, making them accountable to its execution. Additionally, awareness was raised among the networks and groups at the grass roots including women human rights defenders.

TILOPA: A Buddhist Yogin of the Tenth Century

The figure of Tilopā is familiar in Tibetan Buddhism. What is less popular is that his words and teachings, before reaching the Tibetan plateau, were uttered in India and had to pass through Nepal: a fact which would deserve more attention than before. This book is a sort of portrait of that Bengali siddha of the tenth century. In the first chapter, a geographical and historical background is painted: a landscape of waters, kings, polities, and cities, based on epigraphical, numismatic, and archaeological material; on written travelogues of Chinese, Arab, and Italian travellers; on Tibetan accounts and compilations. In the second chapter, the relevant Indo-Tibetan hagiographic sources are d...
