Merancang Penilaian Autentik
Pemahaman terhadap konsep dasar penilaian dalam pembelajaran harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru. Dengan menelaah hasil penilaian, seorang guru dapat mengatahui sejauh mana keberhasilan proses pembelajarannya. Untuk melaksanakan penilaian autentik yang baik, guru hendaknya bertanya pada dirinya sendiri, khususnya berkaitan dengan: (1) pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan peserta didik yang akan dinilai, (2) focus penilaian yang akan dilakukan, dan (3) bentuk pengetahuan yang akan dinilai. Untuk itu sebelum melakukan penilaian, seorang guru terlebih dahulu harus menentukan alat ukur yang tepat untuk mengukur kompetensi peserta didik yang hendak dinilai.
