Shame on Us Christians

Kevin Turnbaugh is a logistics management specialist for the US Army at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. His work is performed, and this book was written, on a computer equipped with screen reader software that allows the blind to hear what is shown on the screen and input the data or words, using keystroke functions instead of the mouse. It is from his more than twenty-five years of service as a civilian in the army and from his numerous years of exposure to the ministry that Kevin has become the source of information on current affairs in our country and churches, attitudes surrounding those areas of life, and the threats to our freedoms as Christians. It is from these areas of work and ministry exposure that Kevin has developed the background for his two previous books, Time Witnessing and Critical Condition, as well as the information and contents of this book. By using the Ten Commandments provided to Moses and to us today, he brings forth the how and why of living as a Christian and considers where all of us fail, including his own failings and shortcomings.

Are you ready for the Rapture? This book has been written from a layman's point of view to help readers better understand and absorb the book of Revelation. We all need to be ready for the imminent return of Jesus over the Mount of Olives when He will call His own home to heaven. So many get confused about His coming in the clouds that we refer to as the rapture. It will occur prior to a seven-year tribulation period, and Jesus' second coming that follows the tribulation, when He leads us from heaven on white horses back to earth where He will set up His 1,000-year kingdom. Throughout the pages of this book, the author emphasizes the need of accepting Jesus as your Savior, so you will be ready for the rapture. In A Blink describes how the rapture will occur, and why you need to be ready today, because you may not have a tomorrow.

Time Witnessing

As the son of a minister, author Kevin Turnbaugh had the truths from the Bible as part of his life right from his birth. His life was dramatically changed in August of 1984, when his eye doctor gave him the news that he was going blind from the incurable eye disease retinitis pigmentosa. In early 1998, he went totally blind from this disease. Turnbaughs vivid memories of two visits to Israel and his background in service in and around the church and in government, have given him special insight on the matters of our country today and the threats to our freedoms and to the family. Detailed study of Gods Word and sitting under the teachings of several ministers of the Bible have helped Kevin form his understanding of what we need to do about these issues today and why each person needs to be ready for the imminent return of Christ. This provides a unique mathematical manner of understanding how long eternity will be, whether your future home is heaven or hell.

Critical Condition

Critical Condition tackles several issues in our country today for which the lack of using common sense has simply taken us down a road of bureaucratic nonsense, leaving fears of offending someone if our laws do not fit into the far lefter's expectations and laws being circumvented by our courts today. From the trillion dollar health care bill to our ridiculous income tax laws to worrying about offending those who attacked the US on September 11, 2001, our country's use of common sense is in Critical Condition. In the pages of this book you will find a fair hearing on each issue, as well as how common sense can and will make things better for all of us.

The Human Microbiome, Diet, and Health

The Food Forum convened a public workshop on February 22-23, 2012, to explore current and emerging knowledge of the human microbiome, its role in human health, its interaction with the diet, and the translation of new research findings into tools and products that improve the nutritional quality of the food supply. The Human Microbiome, Diet, and Health: Workshop Summary summarizes the presentations and discussions that took place during the workshop. Over the two day workshop, several themes covered included: The microbiome is integral to human physiology, health, and disease. The microbiome is arguably the most intimate connection that humans have with their external environment, mostly through diet. Given the emerging nature of research on the microbiome, some important methodology issues might still have to be resolved with respect to undersampling and a lack of causal and mechanistic studies. Dietary interventions intended to have an impact on host biology via their impact on the microbiome are being developed, and the market for these products is seeing tremendous success. However, the current regulatory framework poses challenges to industry interest and investment.

Confrontational Christianity addresses many of those issues facing Christians in today's world. The book looks at the various types of Christians, from those who are passive to those who strap on their "whole armor of God," and come out swinging their two edged swords, the Bible. The fact that the infamous "separation of church and state" is not law and that courts and those who file suits using this as the basis of their suits has no legal bearing on how decisions concerning public display of crosses, Christian flags, Ten Commandment monuments, or anything associated with Christmas do in no way violate the Constitution of the United States of America. In addition, that Christians opposing a...
