A Discipleship Journey for New Believers

A Discipleship Journey for New Believers

"A Discipleship Journey for New Believers" is a compilation of forty short subjects that every new believer in the Lord Jesus Christ should have some knowledge. The language is about a ninth grade level with some theological terms that need to be a part of ever Christian's vocabulary. These have been written after many years in the ministry and the discipling of many young believers in their newly‑found faith. This is not meant to be an exhaustive understanding of biblical doctrines, but a beginning of what hopefully will become a mature understanding of one' s faith as a Christian in the home, in the community and in the local church The three questions at the end of each subject, especially if worked through in a group of 3‑5 readers, will help everyone to understand the subjects more clearly. Some subjects will be skimmed the first time through and understood more clearly when read later. But some ‑ especially the first section will have bearing on one's faith immediately. Hopefully this may be a volume to be kept nearby for the first few months of faith and will have greater understanding and maturity the more times we read it as a believer.

Living @ the Next Level

The message is simple but powerful: Turn your view of fulfillment and contentment upside down and discover the deeper joy god is already offering you -- now. How easily we fall into the common misconception that we must always be striving to reach that elusive "next level" in life. What we long for -- in our circumstances, our relationships, or even spirituality -- seems always just beyond our reach. B. Courtney McBath reveals that living in true friendship with God is that Next Level. As God's friends, we're already there, and every moment we spend straining after so-called benchmarks of success is a missed opportunity to explore God more deeply and connect with Him more fully right now. Mc...

Advance praise for Faith Journey "Good pastors are recognizing that the task for forming people in faith has a new urgency in our time. Preaching to people who are not learning about the faith and being formed in discipleship can devolve into entertaining an audience instead of edifying a congregation of the faithful. In this book, Doug Hood provides welcome help in this important ministry of weaving into the fabric of people's lives the basic pattern of the Christian faith - a wise and worthy guide for pastors and lay people." - From the Forward by Thomas G. Long, author of The Witness of Preaching and Bandy Professor of Preaching, Candler School of Theology, Emory University "Doug Hood lea...

Walking through the Shadows

This book is for those who need encouragement right about now because they are fighting the cancer battle; they're walking through the shadowlands of cancer themselves. It's also for the caretakers—the ones who are equally in the fight, caring for their loved one, scrapping for all the help they can get. And it's for those whose friends are fighting the fight against cancer, to help them better understand all that their friend is going through. In short, it is for anyone who is walking through the shadowlands of cancer, or any trial. My prayer is that it will help us all to better know the One who promises to go with us, even through the valley of the shadow of death.

The chest contains a compass, map, mirror, silver and gold, and precious gems of every kind imaginable. We live our lives on auto-pilot, never taking the time within explore the precious cargo God has buried to each of us. Consequently, our dreams go unrealized and we never manifest our God-given potential. Manifesting Our God-given Treasures: The Stewardship of Life is a must-read for people inte...

"For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:32b-33). Are you looking for an avenue where you can put your money safe with growth, tax advantage, and protection? Do you dream of a cash retirement for yourself that is tax-free? Would you like to leave a tax-free inheritance to your family when you are no longer around? If the answer is a big yes, then this book is for you! Likewise, this book shows how giving, saving, and investing before spending is a blessed strategy toward wealth accumulation whether it is through man at work or money at work. When God created man in his image, he gave us tangible assets with a command and a blessing: "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over . . . " (Genesis 1:27-28). When we work, we are exercising our birthright, our dominion. "For if we don't work, neither should we eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10).
