W Polsce, od lat 90, daje się zaobserwować szybkie przemiany w obrębie państwa, społeczeństwa i Kościoła, wyraźnie uwidaczniaj ące potrzebę wzbogacenia polskiego systemu oświaty o programy duszpasterstwa szkolnego. Działalność pastoralna na rzecz szkół wymaga nie tylko określenia ram teoretycznych, ale także silnego zakotwiczenia instytucjonalnego. Sprawdzone koncepcje "Schulpastoral" w Niemczech mog ą dostarczyć w tym zakresie cennych sugestii i stać się źródłem inspiracji. Głównym zadaniem niniejszej pracy jest zatem stworzenie praktycznej, sytuacyjnej i zorientowanej na przyszłość koncepcji duszpasterstwa szkolnego dla Kościoła w Polsce, na przykładzie Diecezji Łomżyńskiej. Angesichts der rapiden Veränderungen in Staat, Gesellschaft und Kirche in Polen seit den 1990er-Jahren zeigt sich im polnischen Schulsystem mehr und mehr die Notwendigkeit, schulpastorale Angebote einzuführen. Diese bedürfen eines theoretischen Rahmens und einer institutionellen Verankerung. Bewährte Konzepte und Praxen in Deutschland können hierfür wertvolle Anregungen liefern. Die Hauptaufgabe dieser Arbeit besteht darin, ein praktisches, situatives und zukunftsfähiges Konzept der Schulpastoral für Polen am Beispiel der Diözese Łomża zu entwerfen. Dabei geht es nicht darum, angesichts eines signifikanten Rückgangs kirchlicher Bindung Schulpastoral als eine "Christianisierung mit neuen Methoden an Schulen" zu betreiben, sondern diese als Beitrag der Kirche zur Humanisierung der Schule auszugestalten.
