They think themselves into being, and in so doing, become not just reflections on lived and imagined experience, but experiences in themselves.
Lily Rood is a single woman, an English teacher in an ostensibly Christian school, who has recently moved to a new town. Her plans are simple: find new friends, the right church, teach literature and writing to her students, and discover if marriage is in her future. But she discovers her plans are part of a vastly larger one in which evil often appears to triumph. About the Author Jon Pirtle earned his B.A. and M.A. in English from Western Carolina University, and his M.Div. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a U.S. Army chaplain (Major) with deployments to Afghanistan, Bosnia, and Iraq. He is currently completing a book of short stories.
