Es geht allerdings nicht nur darum, zu erfahren, wie Friede Springer, Liz Mohn, Johanna Quandt und Co. immense Vermögen und Verantwortung geerbt haben. Jedes Kapitel erzählt auch die Geschichte der jeweiligen Ehemänner und ihrer Unternehmen. Am Ende weiß man sehr viel mehr über die deutsche Wirtschaftsgeschichte als zuvor. Da alle Kapitel im Kontext der politischen Situation stehen, ist es auch ein wenig ein historischer Abriss Deutschlands von 1945 bis heute. Dabei ist das Buch spannend und eingängig geschrieben, man liest sich schnell hindurch. Handlungsanweisungen sollte man/frau freilich nicht erwarten. getAbstract empfiehlt das Buch allen, die einmal eine ganz andere Perspektive der deutschen Wirtschaft kennen lernen wollen.
