Smith Morris was born November 8, 1802 in Kentucky. He married Margaret Ann Mordoc (b. 1823) October 16, 1839 in Benton, Missouri. They had twelve children. Smith died in 1884 in Phoenix, Arizona. Their son, Leonidas Lynn (1849-1922), married Nancy Elnora Burris December 16, 1869 in Campo, California. Their daughter, Nellie Margaret, married George Washington Millholland in 1909 in Riverside, California. Their son, James Marshall Morris, married Mary Love Messerall in 1907 in Riverside. Descendants and relatives lived in California, Utah, Arizona, Texas and elsewhere.
