This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 1st International Congress on Blockchain and Applications 2021, BLOCKCHAIN’21, held in Salamanca, Spain, in October 2021. Among the scientific community, blockchain and artificial intelligence are a promising combination that will transform the production and manufacturing industry, media, finance, insurance, e-government, etc. Nevertheless, there is no consensus with schemes or best practices that would specify how blockchain and artificial intelligence should be used together. The 38 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from over 44 submissions. They contain the latest advances on blockchain and artificial intelligence and on their application domains, exploring innovative ideas, guidelines, theories, models, technologies, and tools and identifying critical issues and challenges that researchers and practitioners must deal with in future research.
Ubiquitous Networking
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Symposium on Ubiquitous Networking, UNet 2021, held in May 2021. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the conference was held virtually. The 16 revised full papers presented together with 6 invited papers and 3 special sessions were carefully reviewed and selected from 38 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections: ubiquitous communication technologies and networking; tactile internet and internet of things; mobile edge networking and fog-cloud computing; artificial intelligence-driven communications; and data engineering, cyber security and pervasive services.

The book also includes 3 papers from the WEB3-TRUST workshop and 2 papers from the Doctoral Consortium.
Proceedings of the Future Technologies Conference (FTC) 2020, Volume 2
This book provides the state-of-the-art intelligent methods and techniques for solving real-world problems along with a vision of the future research. The fifth 2020 Future Technologies Conference was organized virtually and received a total of 590 submissions from academic pioneering researchers, scientists, industrial engineers, and students from all over the world. The submitted papers covered a wide range of important topics including but not limited to computing, electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, security and communications and their applications to the real world. After a double-blind peer review process, 210 submissions (including 6 poster papers) have been selected to be included in these proceedings. One of the meaningful and valuable dimensions of this conference is the way it brings together a large group of technology geniuses in one venue to not only present breakthrough research in future technologies, but also to promote discussions and debate of relevant issues, challenges, opportunities and research findings. The authors hope that readers find the book interesting, exciting and inspiring.
How to Tackle Psychosocial Issues and Reduce Work-related Stress
Work-related stress is the second most common occupational health problem after back pain, affecting 28 per cent of workers in the EU. Given that this is often indicative of problems with the psychosocial work environment, the promotion of a preventive culture against psychosocial hazards needs to be given a high priority. This report presents 15 case studies of programmes, practices and experiences on tackling work-related stress, produced by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work in order to raise awareness of these topics in EU member states.
