Aspects of the Syntax of Agreement
This volume brings together various strands of research focusing on aspects of the syntax of agreement, and the role that agreement plays in linguistic theory. The essays collected here show how and why agreement has emerged in recent years as the central theoretical construct in minimalism. Although the theoretical context of the volume is minimalist in character, Boeckx formulates formal and substantive universals in the domain of agreement.

While doing research in 1987 Caesar Squitti noticed that many social programs dealing with the traditional family unit had been corrupted. Programs were based on deceptive half-truths; problem was that the definition of half-truth was incorrect. Observations, research and logic suggested that the world definitions of three important concepts, "truth", "half-truth" and "lie" were incorrect. There appeared to be a correlation between the new proposed definition of Truth and the scientific properties of Light. Current Studies in Italian Syntax
The sixteen contributions which make up this volume are representative of the research currently carried out in Italy on Italian and, more generally, Romance syntax (in the generative tradition). The essays were specially collected to pay homage to Professor Lorenzo Renzi, a scholar who has since the 1960s promoted and shaped the study of Italian syntax in Italy, both through his own work and through a collective enterprise which culminated in the publication of the Grande Grammatica Italiana di Consultazione (3 vol., Bologna, Il Mulino, 1988-1995). Most of the contributors to this volume were engaged in that enterprise as young, unemployed linguists, and are now among the most prominent specialists in the field of Italian syntax.
