Buku ini disusun dengan tujuan agar masyarakat luas, kalangan akademisi, serta peneliti dapat mengetahui langkah-langkah dalam memetakan potensi dan permasalahan air minum serta sanitasi di Indonesia. Khususnya, pada permukiman tradisional yang memiliki karakter lokalitas yang tinggi, baik dari segi lokasi, tradisi, maupun adat istiadat. Sistematika buku yang menonjolkan tahap pemetaan dan langkah-langkah tiap tahapan akan dijabarkan secara terperinci serta dilengkapi dengan contoh perhitungan. Buku ini disusun dari laporan hasil pemetaan air minum dan sanitasi 12 permukiman tradisional yang tersebar di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat dan Nusa Tenggara Timur, sehingga selain metode yang jelas dan runut, dalam buku ini juga dipaparkan hasil dari pemetaan tersebut. Diharapkan buku ini dapat dijadikan acuan yang konkret dalam penelitian terkait, bermanfaat bagi para pembaca, dan dapat membantu pihak mana pun yang melakukan penelitian di bidang air minum dan sanitasi di Indonesia.
Teknik Pengukuran Timbulan Sampah dan Metode Analisisnya
Dalam pengambilan dan pengukuran contoh timbulan dan komposisi sampah, SNI 19-3964-1994 dapat dijadikan salah satu acuan. Di dalamnya dijelaskan ihwal tatacaranya secara lengkap. Namun dalam praktik di lapangan, sering ditemui kesulitan karena SNI tidak menjelaskan visualisasi proses pengukuran, detil-detil penghitungan, dan analisis-analisis untuk menginterpretasikan data yang diperoleh. Buku ini merupakan pelengkap dan acuan tambahan dalam pengukuran timbulan dan komposisi sampah, serta interpretasi data. lnformasi di dalamnya merupakan pengalaman praktik di lapangan, disertai banyak contoh sesuai dengan aktivitas pengukuran sampah. Diharapkan buku ini dapat memberikan panduan lengkap dalam kegiatan-kegiatan penelitian dan kajian tentang pengelolaan sampah.
