A laringologia e a microcirurgia de laringe, dentro da otorrinolaringologia internacional e nacional, apresentou grandes crescimentos nas últimas décadas, sobretudo com o desenvolvimento de métodos diagnósticos acurados e de novas técnicas microcirúrgicas, que impactaram em toda a especialidade.
