"Philip Sorgen is not really dead-- it's just that since he received his poetic license he has been dying to use it. Philip has been an actuarial trainee at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, a Sp4 in the U.S. Army reserve and then for thirty-four rewarding years a mathematics teacher at Great Neck North High School. He plays the piano by ear, composes music (with a pencil) and has tennis elbow, which is a lot less severe than tennis balls. He is the husband of one, a father of two and a grandfather of three. This is the story of his life."--Back cover

Follow Sara as her newfound ability leads her into adventures she never imagined. And Sara will have to manage all that while finishing college, becoming a doctor and falling in love, too. Here are the first five books of the Dream Doctor Mysteries, along with bonus material created especially for this collection. Included in this set are DREAM STUDENT, DREAM DOCTOR, DREAM CHILD, DREAM FAMILY and WAKING DREAM. In addition, you’ll find the short story BETTY & HOWARD’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE starring Sara’s parents. But most of all, when you open this box of dreams, you’ll find romance, suspense, humor and plenty of heart…
After nearly a decade of visiting other people’s dreams, Sara Alderson thought she had made peace with her supernatural gift. Until one night, while watching her husband dream, she saw someone else watching him, too: a mysterious woman in a red dress. The woman in red keeps appearing in the dreams of Sara’s husband and his co-workers. Sara doesn’t know if this mystery woman is trying to steal her husband, drive him mad or something even worse. All she does know is that now she has something she never imagined: a nemesis. And the only thing more dangerous than a nemesis who shares her ability to step into other people’s dreams, is one who knows far more about that ability and how to control it than Sara does. Waking Dream is the fourth book of the Dream Doctor Mysteries.
Some folks said; who do you think you are to write your Autobiography? Nobody will want to read it.' These folks thought just because I am an unknown person nobody will be interested in reading about my adventures. Well, I'm of a different mind. For a lot of people it will be very interesting to read about what they could only dream about having done or doing themselves. I have cheated death on a number of occasions at sea and on land. I have put down a mutiny. The sailing ship I was Master of, was declared missing in the North Atlantic for days in a snowstorm, but I always brought my passengers and crew and ship back to a safe port. I have tried and failed and succeeded in a lot of endeavors in my life, but never alone, always with a good woman beside me, encouraging and praising me. Eventually I found not only what I loved to do, but what I became very good at and was very proud to do. To the reader I want the book to convey this one message, follow your dream and make it a reality. No matter how difficult the road ahead may seem, you will reach your goal and enjoy the rewards at the end.

The life-long parent-child tie is so ubiquitous and taken-for-granted that it doesn't need an oath. This unspoken pledge is our birthright; in times of good and bad, sickness and health, parents and their children are bound for life. But, not every parent-child tie is healthy and helpful. And what's remarkable is this imperative persists even when these relationships are unsatisfactory or even deeply damaging. Why do we stay in these parent-adult child relationships? And how do we stay bonded amidst reje...
