Weight management is a multi- and cross-disciplinary challenge. This book covers many etiological and diagnostic aspects of weight-related disorders and their treatment. Dans La Femme gelée (1981) d'Ernaux, Splendid Hôtel (1986) de Redonnet, Une si Longue Lettre (1979) de Bâ, et dans L'Enfant de sable (1985) et La Nuit sacrée (1987) de Ben Jelloun, les personnages féminins principaux sont déchirés entre les valeurs traditionnelles acquises pendant l'enfance et les valeurs modernes de sociétés en pleine évolution. Acceptant et prenant leurs responsabilités, ces personnages surmontent les épreuves de la vie et deviennent des membres actifs de la société, adoptant de nouveaux référents identitaires tout en conservant ceux du passé. L'évolution vers l'identité rhizomatique caractérise donc ces personnages féminins d'un nouveau genre à l'aube du XXIème siècle.
