This rock-n-roll parody of "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan" explores our nostalgic fixation on the past. "Jesus Christ, King of Comedy": The familiar tale of Christ is used to satirize our celebrity worshiping society when Jesus goes into show business and becomes the biggest entertainer in the Middle East.
Theorising the Artist Interview
Reflecting on the relationship between artists and their audiences, this book examines how artists have presented themselves publicly through interviews and sought to establish a critical voice for themselves. Considering the interview as a form of cultural production, contributors explore the criteria for determining the artist interview as a distinct field of research in relation to other cultural fields. Structured in four parts, ‘History and Historiography’, ‘Subverting the Biographical Model’, ‘Interviews as Practice’ and ‘Materiality and Technology’, the book takes an interdisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of art history, fine art, oral history, curating, media studies and museum conservation. 1980 begann Peter Halley seine ersten Prisons – radikal reduzierte geometrische Abstraktionen – zu malen. Have Denominations Divided the Church? If you ask most Christians, they usually avoid the subject or claim there is no avoiding it. But after fellowshipping with many believers of different denominations, evangelist Yolanda Atkins Cotton is convinced that denominations often set up roadblocks rather than pathways to God's truth. God's church is not about beautiful buildings and sanctuaries. It is not about particular forms of worship, symbols, liturgies, programs, or procedures. God's church is about the Builder—the Chief Cornerstone—Christ Jesus. God desires that His people walk uprightly for Him, not to make believers happy, comfortable, or rich.
