Mike Weaver, lead singer of Big Daddy Weave, shares from personal experience how when all we can see is our struggles and failures, God reminds us of who we are. . . . His children. Loved. Set free. Redeemed. I Am Redeemed is an open book of Mike Weaver's life, bringing into the light everything from his battle with self-hatred to the near death of his brother and bandmate, who ultimately had both feet amputated to save his life. Mike shares the lessons learned in the loss of his father and dealing with the spirit of suicide within his band, Big Daddy Weave. At the lowest of lows, with Mike feeling rejected and alone, God broke through to speak truth and life into him. Thankful for God's plan and timing and methods, he is especially grateful for the new identity Jesus had paid for on the cross. In spite of his faults and failures, Mike learned that only God can take the stuff you hate about yourself and use it to reach people. Through the million-selling song "Redeemed" and now the powerful story behind it, as well as inspiration from Scripture, you will be encouraged to embrace God's redeeming grace so you, too, have the opportunity to be beautiful offerings to the Lord.

Bookended by two all-time greats in Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson, the much-maligned 1980s were significant in heavyweight boxing. Holmes dominated the first half of the decade, but the "Easton Assassin" struggled to escape the shadow of Muhammad Ali. Holmes did establish a legacy of greatness despite stumbling in his attempt to surpass Rocky Marciano's unbeaten record of 49-0. The second half of the decade saw the meteoric rise of Mike Tyson, who cleaned out and unified a fractured heavyweight division through the HBO unification tournament. The '80s was also the decade of fighters collectively known as the "lost generation" of heavyweights. That included the likes of Greg Page, Tony Tubbs, Tim Witherspoon, and Michael Dokes, who, for various reasons, couldn't sustain a period at the top of the game. However, they still deserve to be remembered for more than their failings. This book presents a thorough history of a stunning decade in heavyweight boxing, covering all 46 world title fights in detail.

With the proliferation of sanctioning bodies giving rise to multiple titleholders in each weight class it has become increasingly difficult to track the history of the World championships in professional boxing. The purpose of this publication is to give the boxing fan an overview of the history of the heavyweight championship of the World. What you will find here is a brief description of how the championship was passed along from John L. Sullivan to the present champion Wladimir Klitschko. Also included is a list of all deserving holders of the championship, and not least a very comprehensive section with a complete list of all World heavyweight championship fights held under the Queensberry rules, including the ones sanctioned by major organizations like NBA, NYSAC – and later WBC, WBA, IBF & WBO. I hope that this publication will be able to help the casual boxing fan to navigate through professional boxing history.
