This volume will present critical and comphrehensive reviews examining the latest research and developments in nanoscience in accessible articles. Quantum dot synthesis, soft lithography and graphene will feature in the debut volume, along with perspectives on research in China and India.
The LNCS journal Transactions on Rough Sets is devoted to the entire spectrum of rough sets related issues, from logical and mathematical foundations, through all aspects of rough set theory and its applications, such as data mining, knowledge discovery, and intelligent information processing, to relations between rough sets and other approaches to uncertainty, vagueness, and incompleteness, such as fuzzy sets and theory of evidence. Volume XX in the series is a continuation of a number of research streams that have grown out of the seminal work of Zdzislaw Pawlak during the first decade of the 21st century.
This book presents selected papers from the 5th International Conference on Mechanical, Manufacturing and Plant Engineering (ICMMPE 2019), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It highlights the latest advances in the area, brings together researchers and professionals in the field and provides a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration. Joining technologies could be change to manufacturing technologies. Addressing real-world problems concerning joining technologies that are at the heart of various manufacturing sectors, the respective papers present the outcomes of the latest experimental and numerical work on problems in soldering, arc welding and solid-state joining technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies. technologies.
In the past few decades, the field of perioperative medicine has made significant progress. Perioperative medicine is the backbone of anaesthesiology, nursing, and surgery, and we have a responsibility to disseminate the most up-to-date information to our colleagues on the front lines and in all disciplines that deal with perioperative medicine management. Clinicians must become familiar with the most recent developments in this field and the scientific knowledge to allow the safe practice of surgery, anesthesia, and perioperative care. As such, this book provides the fundamentals as well as modern approaches and the latest updates on perioperative medicine. We conclude our work by emphasizing that sharing knowledge stands as one of humanity’s greatest acts; as Lao Tzu once said, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
This study delves into the plight of Muslim women victims of domestic violence in Assam’s Cachar district. By examining factors contributing to domestic violence, the impact on victims, their views on service agencies, and the challenges faced by these agencies, the research offers a comprehensive look at this critical issue. Data was gathered from the respondents receiving help from three key organizations: DLCCIW, Sakhi One Stop Centre (SOSC), and Swadhar Greh Home. Through both qualitative and quantitative methods, the study highlights the severe effects of physical and emotional abuse on victims' lives and family dynamics. While most respondents were satisfied with the services provided, the study identifies areas for improvement and underscores the need for increased awareness and better service delivery. It also suggests future research to include the experiences of male perpetrators to gain a fuller understanding of domestic violence.
This book presents an authoritative account of the potential of advanced composites such as composites, biocomposites, composites geopolymer, hybrid composites and hybrid biocomposites in aerospace application. It documents how in recent years, composite materials have grown in strength, stature, and significance to become a key material of enhanced scientific interest and resultant research into understanding their behavior for selection and safe use in a wide spectrum of technology-related applications. This collection highlights how their unique combination of superior properties such as low density, high strength, high elastic modulus, high hardness, high temperature capability, and excellent chemical and environmental stability are optimized in technologies within these field.
The last two decades have seen a renaissance in interest in the chemistry of the main group elements. In particular research on the metals of group 13 (aluminium, gallium, indium and thallium) has led to the synthesis and isolation of some very novel and unusual molecules, with implications for organometallic synthesis, new materials development, and with biological, medical and, environmental relevance. The Group 13 Metals Aluminium, Gallium, Indium and Thallium aims to cover new facts, developments and applications in the context of more general patterns of physical and chemical behaviour. Particular attention is paid to the main growth areas, including the chemistry of lower formal oxidat...
