The Descendants of Claiborne B. May
Claiborne B. May (ca.1798-1860/1865) moved from South Carolina to St. Clair County, Alabama, and married twice. He later moved to Tallegdega County, then Coosa County, and finally Greene County, Alabama. Descendants and relatives lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas and elsewhere.

Hans Peter Meÿ, parents not listed, was born about 1540. He married Christina in the area of Meisenheim. They had one son, Conradt. Their descendants have lived in Germany, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, and other areas in the United States.

Traces the family histories of several families surnamed May who moved to Kentucky in the late eighteenth century. Most were from Virginia, and many may have been related to each other.

Descendants of Hezekiah Sellards (father of Jenny Wiley)
Hezekiah Sellards who was probably of Scotch-Irish parentage, came to Pennsylvania in 1732. He migrated to the Shenandoah Valley, then to Walkers Creek, Virginia and died in Kentucky. Descendants lived throughout the United States.
