This collection of papers, consisting of 39 delegate contributions and three keynote articles from “New directions in telecollaborative research and practice: the second conference on telecollaboration in higher education” hosted by Trinity College Dublin in April 2016, offers a window on a rapidly evolving form of learning. Telecollaboration is used in many formats and contexts, but has as a defining feature the ability to unite learners from classrooms around the world in meaningful computer-mediated tasks and activities. This cross-disciplinary overview discusses telecollaboration in support of language and culture, teacher training, student mobility, and other disciplines and skills from a range of analytical perspectives. OUTLINE German has the three main perfect constructions which are illustrated in (1. 1). 1 In each of these constructions, the verb appears in the past participial form and is combined with an auxiliary - in this case, haben ('have'); other verbs form their perfect constructions with the auxiliary sein ('be'). 2 The auxiliary can then be com bined with a tense -Le. the present tense as in (Ua), the past tense as in (b), or the future tense as in (c). 3 (1. 1) a. It has been investigated intensely in the past, with the result that today there is little doubt about what the core problems concerning its semantics are.

Grammatical systems without language borders

Centuries in Our Veins
Willem Kemps was born 4 December 1868 in Uden, Holland. His parents were Theodorus Kemps (1828-1891) and Antonetta De Groot (1829-1894). He married Hendrica Van der Wijst (1874-1966), daughter of Adrianus Van der Wijst (1842-1886) and Johanna Maria Van Duijnhoven (1840-1911), in 1898. They had twelve children. They emigrated in 1917 and settled in Wisconsin.
